About 2 weeks till my Flickr birthday.A tribute to my contacts!
And as most know I usually get all giddy about stuff way b4 it happens and then the actual event is kind of forgotten about but anyway Its time to reflect on the year and I must say its been a great one.
No longer can I see Neon or anything Route 66 without thinking of loungelisteners and Pete Zarria
Hotwheels without thinking of Diwong,new fellow fathers Bundy845 and Santonie
Legos its Teikjoon and Captain Redstorm.
Churches in New York, great rural decay and like thinking its Rchrdcnnningham.
Perspectives and Texas weather reports(Urgh!!) its reflexions!

Happy Birthday Johnny!! Age 12
I borrowed this story from last year!(Its my favorite story)I was driving my 18 wheeler on a detroit route LTL (Less than truckload)8 stopper this day.My first stop was Taylor Michigan And I was 20 miles or so from it when my pager(remember those?)went off so I pull into the Pilot and call my wife.She says the time is now and meet her at the hospital so I drive that truck over to St.Lukes hospital and park it.21 hours later Johnny finally makes his appearance and when they lay him crying on the table I says I love you boy and he quits crying and tries to look at me,the nurse says shes never seen that happen before.after awhile they roll the little guy in a blanket and let me have him where we sleep on the couch for 5 hours with him on my chest.Happy Birthday Lego,hotwheeler,angel,moviemaker,slacker,camper,swimmer,guy!

B&W/ Selective color/mirrorblogging/-tiltshift
Just having a different kind of summer,Discovered Facebook and about 100 friends I forgot were alive,or lost ,or whatever.25 years ago I graduated and that has me backed against the railing.That went way too fast.Mortality thoughts are saturating my happy little existence which always plants the seeds of what if and what now and what the heck.Still same old me though, just sometimes I need a ballbat to the noggin to wake me up to what is real and what is superficial BS.Just after this long a time you'd think I'd know.

Last of the hot summer days I guess,time to savor the moments and burn out as many outdoor activities as possible so as to ease the pain while shoveling snow here soon.Kids are growing so fast its not describable,ugh...I'm sensing I'm going to be an old man before I know it.

this is me
Mid summer wondering about sometimes aimlessly sometimes cautiously.The economy is a bad word right now many friends are experiencing the worst times in their lives.I'm wishing the real estate agents would not use "Foreclosure"as a selling point!!Here in Perrysburg yesterday there were no less than 15 signs pointing you to a foreclosed house!What if that was your families house and you had to move your family in with your parents across the street?Theres foreclosure "Tours",I don't think anyones given it much thought is all.
